Call It
Call It by Halifax musician, the Madryn, explores an artist’s total absorption into their performing identity- being twisted, bent and bruised by the conforms of gaining relevance in the digital market. With a gendered critique, we look at the danger of self actualization done in isolation and darkened by an egoic expectation for power. In a Frankenstein-ian sense, creation kills its creator as this artist loses all agency once his performing identity is awakened.
